- The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has extended the deadline for linking the Universal Account Number (UAN) with Aadhaar under the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme.
- The new deadline is now December 15, 2024, instead of the previous date of November 30, 2024.
- This update was shared by EPFO in a post on X and a circular issued on December 4, 2024.
- EPFO has asked employers to ensure that UAN activation and Aadhaar seeding for bank accounts are completed for all employees who joined this financial year, starting with the most recent employees.
- This will help them take advantage of the benefits under the ELI scheme.
